Questions before you install
What's actually free, and what happens after the trial?
The Free plan is free, not a trial — pickup, delivery, and shipping with date and time slots, order limits, prep time, cutoff time, blackout dates, and zip code validation, up to 30 orders a month. If you need per-product settings, POS integration, more locations, or higher order volume, the paid plans start at $5.99/month, each with a 14-day free trial before you're charged.
Will this work with my theme and cart setup?
The date and time picker sits on your cart page and installs without touching your theme code. Most stores are up and running the same day. If you're running a custom sticky cart or a non-standard checkout flow, the widget occasionally needs a manual placement tweak — support sorts that out directly.
Can I set different schedules per product or per location?
Yes, and it scales with your plan. The base multi-location dashboard is on every plan. Product-specific prep time and hiding the date picker on select products come in on Grow. Per-product availability and up to 10 locations come in on Advanced. Plus removes the location cap and adds multi-condition rates.
Does this work with Shopify Plus checkout customization?
Partially, and it depends on your Shopify plan, not just KiteLane's. On standard Shopify, KiteLane can relabel and control delivery, pickup, and shipping rates at checkout, but Shopify itself only allows apps to restructure checkout tabs on Plus with checkout extensibility. Full checkout customization is on the Advanced plan and above, and it still requires Plus.
What about draft orders and POS?
Shopify POS integration is included from the Grow plan up, so in-store orders sync the same way online orders do. Delivery date and time are saved as order attributes and show up in Shopify admin on regular checkout orders. Converting a draft order into a real order is a known edge case where the date doesn't always carry over automatically — worth flagging directly if it happens.
Does KiteLane work alongside my other apps, like subscriptions?
Generally yes. KiteLane has been set up alongside subscription apps like Appstle, though subscription checkouts sometimes need a specific integration step. If something looks like an app conflict, it's often worth checking with support first — more than once, what looked like a KiteLane issue turned out to be unrelated to the app entirely.
What if I need something that isn't a standard setting?
Email support directly. Custom requests get built into working changes for individual stores, sometimes within hours. The Plus plan includes a 1:1 onboarding call and bespoke customization as standard, but custom fixes aren't limited to Plus customers.
